About AGPAL
Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL) is an
independent organisation that was incorporated in 1997. It was created
by the Presidential Task Force of Standards and Accreditation, which
included representatives from numerous practitioners' organisations
(RACGP, AMA, RDAA & AAGP) as well as government and consumer
organisations.
AGPAL is a not-for-profit organisation. The aim of AGPAL is to engage
the profession in a comprehensive process of continuous quality improvement.
AGPAL is the leading provider of accreditation for Australia
's General Practices.
Accreditation
Validation of the sterilisation process is an important part of
the accreditation process for medical practices. The AGPAL website
has a number of vital information sheets which can be downloaded
and printed. From the home page, access the "Registry of Resources" then "Sterilisation
Process". We highly recommend that you print off a copy of the 'Flowchart
validation of the sterilisation process' and the document 'Validation
of the sterilisation process'. Contact our office and our Service
Coordinator will be able to explain which aspects of the process
are carried out by our technicians and arrange an appointment for
the work to be done. If in doubt, please discuss further with your
AGPAL representative.
For more information about service and testing for validation, please
refer to STS Health details under service and testing. Our range
of services is outlined and further information regarding the various
procedures and tests is given in more detail.
Please do not leave booking your appointment until the last moment.
While we try whenever possible to help in emergency circumstances
however booking appointments for service and testing is best done
one to two weeks in advance.
